If you weren’t aware that this game was in development, we have some exciting news for you. As this marks the first public release, please bear with us as we work to address any remaining bugs. While I still prefer Flash, I appreciate this version for its excellent mobile compatibility. Currently, there are no on-screen controls for mobile devices, but they will be added in the next update. For those eager to try it on their phone immediately, a Bluetooth keyboard works wonderfully. Although I initially stated the game would run at 60 frames per second, some of the more challenging levels may run slightly slower at that rate. Fortunately, a setting allows you to adjust this, and I may host a high-refresh-rate version on a separate page for users with powerful CPUs.
Overall, Happy Wheels JS aims to faithfully replicate the original’s design and gameplay. The user database, levels, and replays from the original version remain intact. The only thing lost in this transition is the universe’s impending doom.
